As Portugal has only 11 million (more or less) inhabitants and a big majority of them live in the cities, you won’t be surprised that the roads in our region can be very tranquil and bikers have the roads to themselves most of the time. So, you can push the pedals going up whilst breathing fresh air and hold your breath going down at high speed without having to think about any car getting in the way.
